The 2022 NC Foothills Farm Tour in October will feature the farms below.

Parker-Binns Vineyard is a 40-acre estate with 13 acres under vine. We grow primarily Vinifera grapes with a few French Hybrids in the mix as well. 11 varieties in total; Chardonnay, Muscat, Petit Manseng, and Vidal Blanc for the whites and Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Tannat and Chambourcin for the reds.

We are focused on growing and producing estate wines that represent western North Carolina and the Tryon Foothills for how great it is. Primarily Dry wines but also offer some things with residual sugar and even canned products that include our Bramble patch, Bourbon Select, and original apple hard ciders as well as our estate-grown Kangria which is a lightly carbonated sangria in a 375ml can as well.

We also have our Burger Barn open Thursday-Sun for lunch and dinner which showcases local beef from our neighbors at Cailyn farms.
PCHS Farm 2022

Tour the Polk County High School Farm to view animals (goats, broiler chickens, cattle, etc.), facilities (barns), pastures, garden area, vineyard (muscadines), and if they are ready and still available, tour guests will have the opportunity to pick muscadines for purchase. This tour will explain how the high school students enrolled in agricultural education classes at Polk County High School work hands-on on the school farm and use the farm as an educational opportunity to expand their knowledge of agriculture.

Nestled in the foothills of the South Mountains in the beautiful community of Sunshine, Belflower Farm focuses on converting sunshine to healthy beef and lamb. Come see our livestock and how we rotationally graze our pastures to improve the water cycle and soil health on our farm.

Belflower farm offers regenerative practices and land stewardship. Spend some time with the farmers and learn why they use the practices that they do and how the farm circulates nutrients.

The tour will last for an hour and you’ll have the opportunity to ask all the questions about pasture management and rotational grazing. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase farm fresh meats from the farmers directly on farm. Please arrive on time as the tour will be a group tour with the farmers.

Come spend an hour with Debbi and Craig at Cherry Mountain Farm and General Store. You’ll see all the aspects of the farm, including all of the animals and the pumpkin patch.

During your visit to Cherry Mountain Farm, you will get to be up close and personal with 2 very friendly livestock guardian dogs, 2 very sweet and social Kunekune pigs, 16 Angora Goats who grow beautiful mohair and you will hear about the care of these animals and what is done with their mohair. You can shop in our very eclectic General Store and take a ride on our Barrel Train. If all goes well during the summer we will have a U-Pick pumpkin Patch.

The tour will be a group tour, so please arrive on time as you will have an hour to see all that the farm has to offer with your tour group.
